Tetbury Model Railway Collection

We have been working on our Tetbury Railway Collection, we currently have the Station, Cycle/Store, Coal Bunker, Engine Shed, & Goods Shed.  Shortly we will be adding Engineman Cabin, Advertising Board and Cattle Dock.

This blog goes through the history of this fasinating collect of model railway kits.

The construction of the railway started in October 1887, it was opened in December 1889.

The line closed in April 1964 following the Beaching Cuts, the only structure that survives today is the goods shed and cattle dock.  Today the goods shed has been fully restored into a excellent arts centre. With some of the original track bed being used today as a footpath and cycle track.
