Snowhill Signal Box

We turn the spotlight on Snowhill Signal Box today. An unusual design in that it is elevated by a six bay steel frame, held up with 7 steel girders.

Opened on the 31st October 1909 it was considered by many at the time as an advanced signal box.

This version was asked for by a customer. It's been built in 4mm scale, has been pain stakingly built and looks imposing on the layout.

It was mental health week a few weeks ago, this serves as a reminder on how having a great hobby that draws you in and adds to so many skills for anyone from the planning to the dexterity of building.
